What makes the immigration queue at HKT longer
The average tells you very little, because four things decide your particular evening.
- How many aircraft parked in the same window. One wide-body is four hundred people arriving at the hall at once, and the counters do not multiply to match.
- Whether your flight is at the front or the back of the wave. Landing twelve minutes after a full A330 costs you more than landing an hour later.
- How many people ahead of you need the visa on arrival counter or have a document problem. Each of those is minutes, not seconds.
- Where you sit. Rows at the back can leave the aircraft twenty minutes after the front — and then join the same queue twenty minutes further down it.
